Background: Studies using machine learning to identify the target characteristics and develop predictive models for coronary artery disease severity in patients with premature myocardial infarction (PMI) are limited.
Methods: In this observational study, 1111 PMI patients (≤55 years) at Tianjin Chest Hospital from 2017 to 2022 were selected and divided according to their SYNTAX scores into a low-risk group (≤22) and medium-high-risk group (>22). These groups were further randomly assigned to a training or test set in a ratio of 7:3.

Background: Fibrous dysplasia (FD) is the most common benign tumor of the ribs, with surgical resection being the preferred treatment modality for rib FD, leading to enhanced quality of life and favorable outcomes. The complexity of surgical intervention varies depending on the location of costal FD, presenting challenges for both open surgical and thoracoscopic approaches. In this study, we present a novel technique for three-port robotic-assisted costectomy utilizing a Gigli saw, detailing our initial findings and outcomes.

The use of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) in surgery is expanding as the medical community started adopting it, with good results, for procedures with high risk of respiratory and hemodynamic instability. This technique provided the possibility to reduce the number of patients previously considered inoperable because of these limitations. Thymic epithelial tumors (TETs) are rare neoplastic mediastinal lesions, with a reported incidence of 0.
