The purpose of this study was to compare the penetration of methylene blue (MB) dye after laser irradiation using PIPS (photon-induced photoacoustic streaming) and SWEEPS (shockwave enhanced emission photoacoustic streaming) methods compared to Passive ultrasonic irrigation (PUI) and to study their effect on dentin microhardness. A total of 44 single-rooted human teeth which were extracted for orthodontic or periodontal reasons were used. The teeth were decapitated to standardize roots to 12 mm in length.

Ternary heterojunction BiS/MoS/BiMoO was designed as a signal probe to develop a dual signal amplification strategy empowered electrochemical biosensor for sensitive miRNA-21 detection by combining with catalytic hairpin assembly (CHA). The combination of the BiS/MoS/BiMoO heterojunction as a tracer indication probe and the CHA amplification strategy not only took fully use of the highly dense nanowire interwoven structure and superior active region of the probe, but also endowed the ability to improve the molecular hybridization efficiency by collision, which significantly avoided the cumbersome chain design and greatly simplified the step-by-step construction of the electrode surface. Hairpin H1 was first added dropwise to the gold nanoparticle-decorated electrode surface, and then opened by the introduced miRNA-21 to initiate the specific hybridization.

The green methods for the synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) has developed popularity recently due to the low preparation costs, environmental friendliness, and non-toxicity of the precursors. In this study, AgNPs were synthesized using leaf extract from Merremia quinquefolia. Spectroscopic techniques were used for analyzing the functional groups, morphology, crystalline phase, and elemental composition of nanomaterials.

This research aims to develop YCuMnO double perovskite, using a citrate auto combustion method, to be used as a photocatalyst for the degradation of organic dyes and antibiotics. XRD and Raman characterization revealed the synthesis of pure-phase YCuMnO double perovskite. The X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy results show the presence of +4 and +2 oxidation states of Mn and Cu ions.

In recent decades, freshwater bodies have experienced significant stress due to the excessive disposal of dyes from textile industries and waste antibiotic discharges from pharmaceutical industries. The continuous disposal of these substances may harm the natural ecosystem and generate antibiotic resistance in living organisms. Conventional treatment facilities are inadequate in treating these contaminants effectively, leading to a focused interest in advanced technologies, such as electrooxidation.
