At the moment, all over the world there are a large number of various methods of surgical treatment of chronic tonsillitis. In particular: classical tonsillectomy, cryosurgical method for removing the palatine tonsils, shaver tonsillectomy, monopolar and bipolar tonsillectomy, tonsillectomy with an ultrasonic scalpel, bipolar dissection using cutting instruments, laser tonsillectomy, coldablation. This article analyzes the existing methods, describes the fundamental technique for their implementation, as well as their advantages and disadvantages.

Posterior nasal nerve (PNN) cryoablation is a novel surgical technique used to address chronic rhinitis. The purpose of this study is to review the medical device reports (MDRs) submitted to the Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) Manufacturer and User Device Facility Experience (MAUDE) database to identify adverse events related to the use of ClariFix, a device designed for office-based cryosurgical ablation of the PNN. A total of 12 adverse events associated with ClariFix from January 2017 to August 2020 were identified and analyzed.

A novel method for positioning and operating needle-like cryo-surgical probes in 2D convex target areas is presented. The method is based on the recorded dynamic performance of a single probe, termed "unit circle," (UC) embedded in a semi-infinite, tissue-like medium. Up to 15 cryo-probes, inserted into the same depth, are operated uniformly for 2-5 min.

Background: Common warts rarely occur on the nasal vestibule. It should be treated more carefully than other skin lesions because scar contracture results in the narrowing of the external naris, causing nasal obstruction and reducing the patient's quality of life. In this report, we introduce our method for common warts on the nasal vestibule using handheld cryoablation devise.
