Intestinal ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) injury occurs under various surgical or disease conditions, where tissue hypoxia followed by reoxygenation results in the production of oxygen radicals and inflammatory mediators. These substances can target the endothelial barrier, leading to microvascular leakage. In this study, we induced intestinal I/R injury in mice by occluding the superior mesenteric artery, followed by removing the clamp to resume blood circulation.

Background: Heart failure (HF) is a high-burden clinical syndrome characterized by intravascular and extravascular congestion, impacting patients' outcomes. Current diagnostic methods for assessing intravascular congestion, including right heart catheterization (RHC), have some limitations. There is a need for accurate, stable, and widely applicable non-invasive measurement methods to improve HF diagnosis and treatment.

: Cardiopulmonary bypass can lead to hemodilution, causing a fluid shift to the interstitial space. Albumin helps counteract the intravascular fluid movement to the extravascular space and reduces the risk of complications associated with fluid imbalance. Our main objective was to evaluate the effectiveness of albumin addition in the cardiopulmonary bypass priming solution compared to standard priming, focusing on its role in reducing pleural effusion development.

Background: Dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI) combined with serum carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and carbohydrate antigen 19-9 (CA19-9) levels to evaluate the efficacy of colorectal cancer liver metastasis (CRCLM) treatment is still rare.
Purpose: To investigate the predictive value of DCE-MRI combined with serum CEA and CA 19-9 concerning the efficacy of comprehensive treatment for CRCLM.
Materials And Methods: A total of 120 patients with CRC were retrospectively recruited using convenience sampling between May 2019 and March 2024.

Background: In recent times, the applications of continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) beyond kidney-related conditions have been progressively increasing, and its implementation in randomized controlled trials (RCTs) specifically for acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) has been documented. This meta-analysis compiles all existing RCTs to assess whether CRRT benefits ARDS.
Methods: We searched 12 databases in English and Chinese and two clinical trial centers up to November 28, 2023.
