Images are important information carriers in our lives, and images should be secure when transmitted and stored. Image encryption algorithms based on chaos theory emerge in endlessly. Based on previous various chaotic image fast encryption algorithms, this paper proposes a color image sector fast encryption algorithm based on one-dimensional composite sinusoidal chaotic mapping.

Magnesium and calcium carbonate minerals are significant reservoirs of Earth's carbon and understanding their behavior under different conditions is crucial for elucidating the mechanisms of deep carbon storage. Huntite, MgCa(CO), is one of the two stable calcium magnesium carbonate phases, together with dolomite. The distinctive cation coordination environment of Ca atoms compared to calcite-type and dolomite structures makes huntite a comparatively less dense phase.

Photoimmunotherapy, which combines phototherapy with immunotherapy, exhibits significantly improved therapeutic effects compared with mono-treatment regimens. However, its use is associated with drawbacks, such as insufficient reactive oxygen species (ROS) production and uneven photosensitizer distribution. To address these issues, we developed a controllable, targeted nanosystem that enhances oxidative stress through multiple pathways, achieving synergistic photothermal, photodynamic, and immunotherapy effects for tumor treatment.

Intercellular transmission of messenger RNA (mRNA) is being explored in mammalian species using immortal cell lines. Here, we uncover an intercellular mRNA transfer phenomenon that allows for the adaptation and reprogramming of human primed pluripotent stem cells (hPSCs). This process is induced by the direct cell contact-mediated coculture with mouse embryonic stem cells under the condition impermissible for primed hPSC culture.
