Moth Flame Optimization (MFO) is a swarm intelligence algorithm inspired by the nocturnal flight mode of moths, and it has been widely used in various fields due to its simple structure and high optimization efficiency. Nonetheless, a notable limitation is its susceptibility to local optimality because of the absence of a well-balanced exploitation and exploration phase. Hence, this paper introduces a novel enhanced MFO algorithm (BWEMFO) designed to improve algorithmic performance.

Background: The HIV burden still persists to date, as a public global health challenge despite numerous prevention interventions that have been proposed toward achieving 95% of all people living with HIV aware of their HIV status by 2030. Therefore, this study set out to examine the effect of a workplace-based HIV self-testing intervention on the use of HIV self-testing among unskilled workers in Wakiso Uganda.
Methods: A quasi-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design was conducted among 46 participants systematically and randomly selected.

The cooling procedure markedly diminishes the quality of guinea pig () sperms, primarily because their membranes are highly susceptible to this process. This susceptibility triggers the generation of reactive oxygen species and free radicals, ultimately leading to lipid peroxidation in the sperm membrane. Surprisingly, there has been a lack of research on the use of Tris-based extenders to safeguard guinea pig sperm under refrigeration conditions.

Objective: This study aims to examine whether the presence of mutation exists in the vitamin D-connector protein gene rs7041 variant of the pancreatitis table for patients diagnosed with coronavirus disease 2019.
Methods: A total of 113 patients with normal pancreatic enzyme levels diagnosed with coronavirus disease 2019 and 120 patients with both coronavirus disease 2019 diagnosis and high pancreatic enzyme levels were included in the study. The rs7041 genotyping of the 11th single nucleotide variation in the vitamin D-connector protein gene was determined by polymerase chain reaction and restriction fragment length polymorphism methods.
