Purpose: To investigate the efficacy, safety, tolerability, and serum IgG trough levels of hyaluronidase-facilitated subcutaneous immunoglobulin (fSCIG) 10% in US pediatric patients with primary immunodeficiency diseases (PIDDs).

Methods: This phase 3, open-label, prospective study (NCT03277313) was conducted at 17 US centers. Eligible patients aged 2 to < 16 years had PIDDs and had received immunoglobulin G (IgG) at a consistent dose for ≥ 3 months before screening.

This study investigated the molecular mechanisms underlying lead (Pb)-induced nephropathy and assessed the nephroprotective potential of Polydatin (PD). Forty male Wistar rats were divided into five groups (n = 8/group): negative control (NC), normal rats treated with 200 mg/kg/day of PD (NPD200), positive control (PC) receiving Pb only (30 mg/kg/day), and two groups co-administered Pb with PD (100 or 200 mg/kg/day). Serum and urine Pb levels were determined by an atomic absorption spectrophotometer.

Introduction: The associations between gray matter (GM) change and neurotransmitter systems in hepatitis B virus-related cirrhosis (HBV-RC) are still poorly understood.

Methods: We recruited 60 HBV-RC patients and 60 healthy controls (HCs). Difference of GM volume between HBV-RC and HC groups was evaluated at global and voxel levels.

Background Aims: The human leukocyte antigen (HLA) locus is implicated in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) among chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) carriers. We investigated associations of HLA variants, amino acid polymorphisms, zygosity, and evolutionary divergence (HED) with HBV-related HCC in Han Chinese and explored biological mechanisms.

Approach Results: We examined the associations of HLA variants (imputed 4-digit classical alleles and amino acid polymorphisms), zygosity, and HED with HBV-related HCC in a discovery set (706 HBV-related HCC cases, 6,197 chronic HBV carriers in Taiwan).
