The gastric mucosal calcinosis is a benign condition corresponding to calcium deposits in the gastric mucosa. A 39-year-old women, with an history of transplantation, transplant rejection and hemodialysis, treated with corticosteroids and calcium/phosphoremic supplements, had chronic diarrhea. Gastroduodenal fibroscopy found an atypical atrophic gastritis appearance with small focal whitish deposits in the gastric mucosa.

[Krukenberg tumour: about 5 cases].

Krukenberg tumours are rare, often bilateral ovarian malignant tumours secondary to muco-secreting gastric cancer, in 90% of cases. We collected data from patients' medical records over a period of 17years, between January 2002 and January 2019. These patients had Krukenberg tumors for which they were treated in the Department of Hepato-Gastro-Enterology at the Ibn Rochd Hospital University.

Routine surveillance endoscopy before and after sleeve gastrectomy?

There is no consensus when it comes to the necessity of an oeso-gastroduodenal fibroscopy (OGDF) before and after bariatric surgery. Many reports expressed the preoccupations about a gastroesophagal reflux disease (an acute risk of Barrett's esophagus) and its consequences after a sleeve gastrectomy (SG) and the risk of leaving a premalignant lesion in an excluded stomach after a Roux-en-Y gastric bypass. The International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders recommends a surveillance endoscopy, routinely after a SG.

Recurrence of gastric cancer in the jejunal stump after radical total gastrectomy.

This is a very rare case of the recurrence of gastric cancer in the jejunal stump after radical total gastrectomy with Roux-en-Y reconstruction. In January 2008, a 65-year-old man underwent radical total gastrectomy with Roux-en-Y reconstruction for stage IB gastric cancer of the upper body. At a follow-up in December 2011, the patient had a recurrence of gastric cancer on gastroduodenal fibroscopy.
