The article analyzes literature data on the characteristics of local anesthetics used to perform regional anesthesia, and provides a detailed assessment of the drug "Articaine". The article presents the results of an open randomized study of the action of the anesthetics "Articaine-Binergia" 20 mg/ml and "Ropivocaine" used to perform conduction anesthesia in upper limb surgeries. The results of the study demonstrated a high degree of effectiveness of both drugs, but the safety indicators of the drug "Articaine-Binergia" 20 mg/ml significantly exceeded those of "Ropivocaine".

Objective: This review summarizes the peri-operative anesthesiological approaches to esophagectomy considering the best up-to-date, evidence-based medicine, discussed from the anesthesiologist's standpoint.
Background: Esophagectomy is the only curative therapy for esophageal cancer. Despite the many advancements made in the surgical treatment of this tumour, esophagectomy still carries a morbidity rate reaching 60%.

Introduction: Anesthetic care in patients undergoing thoracic surgery presents specific challenges that require a multidisciplinary approach to management. There remains a need for standardized, evidence-based, continuously updated guidelines for perioperative care in these patients.
Methods: A multidisciplinary expert group, the Perioperative Anesthesia in Thoracic Surgery (PACTS) group, was established to develop recommendations for anesthesia practice in patients undergoing elective lung resection for lung cancer.
