Besides colposcopy and cytology microbiopsy as a detection method for early detection of malign cervical lesions was applied to 142 women patients of the UFK Halle. A precondition for the successfull application of this method is a carefull preliminary colposcopic examination and close co-operation with the histologist. The interim result of the microbiopsy corresponded to a high degree with the definitive result. In this way, it was possible to indicate 20% of the preclinical carcinoma for histological evidence despite of negative cytology. An individual combination of all 3 ways of research guarantee a maximum of certainty for the early finding of cervical carcinoma and their pre-stages.
