The present investigation assessed the risk of dietary exposure to four mycotoxins, namely aflatoxin B1 (AFB1), aflatoxin G1 (AFG1), ochratoxin A (OTA), and patulin (PAT) via fruit juice consumption for Iranian consumers. In 96 fruit juice samples obtained from Iran market, mycotoxins levels were determined using liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry. Also, probabilistic health risk assessment was conducted in terms of tolerable daily intake percentage (%TDI) and under cancer risk scenarios.

Background: The association of plasma metals on the risk of cardiovascular diseases (CVD) in adults with prediabetes remains poorly investigated. To assess the association between plasma metal exposure and the risk of CVD in prediabetic adults in the United States using five plasma metals.
Methods: Five cycles of data (2011-2012, 2013-2014, 2015-2016, and 2017-2018) from the NHANES were adopted in this study.

Model organisms are vital for biomedical research and drug testing but face high costs, complexity, and ethical issues. While newer techniques like organoids and assembloids have shown improvements, they still remain inadequate in addressing all research needs. In this study, we present a new method for maintaining the prostate gland of the earthworm, Eudrilus eugeniae ex vivo and examine its potential for regeneration and drug screening.

Introduction: The Alberta Infant Motor Scale (AIMS) is widely used to assess infant motor development but has shown limited cross-cultural validity in various populations. The distribution of the original AIMS scores has not been cross-culturally validated for Norwegian infants. This study aimed to evaluate the applicability of the Canadian AIMS norm reference for Norwegian infants aged 6-9 months and compare their percentile rankings with the Canadian and Dutch norms.
