Background: Tuberculosis is among the most devastating infectious diseases worldwide. Spinal tuberculosis is not easy to detect at an early stage, which without effective treatment often leads to spinal deformity and spinal cord damage which in turn cause complications such as paraplegia and quadriplegia. In this study, we established a model using three concentrations of bacteria and carried out a comprehensive evaluation of the model by imaging, general observations, and histopathological and bacteriological studies.

Introduction: The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated new vaccine development. Limited safety data necessitated robust global safety surveillance to accurately identify and promptly communicate potential safety issues. The African Union Smart Safety Surveillance (AU-3S) program established the Joint Signal Management (JSM) group to support identification of potential vaccine safety concerns in five pilot countries (Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa), accounting for approximately 35% of the African population.

Objectives: Brain metastases are the most common intracranial malignancy in adults, and their detection is crucial for treatment planning. Post-contrast 3D T1 gradient-recalled echo (GRE) sequences are commonly used for this purpose, but contrast-enhanced 3D T1 turbo spin-echo (TSE) sequences with motion-sensitized driven-equilibrium (MSDE) technique ("black blood") may offer improved detection. This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of contrast-enhanced 3D black blood sequences to standard 3D T1 GRE sequences in detecting brain metastases on a 1.

Hypoxia severely limits the antitumor immunotherapy for breast cancer. Although efforts to alleviate tumor hypoxia and drug delivery using diverse nanostructures achieve promising results, the creation of a versatile controllable oxygen-releasing nano-platform for co-delivery with immunostimulatory molecules remains a persistent challenge. To address this problem, a versatile oxygen controllable releasing vehicle PFOB@F127@PDA (PFPNPs) is developed, which effectively co-delivered either protein drug lactate oxidase (LOX) or nucleic acids drug unmethylated cytosine-phosphate-guanine oligonucleotide (CpG ODNs).

Aim: Identify values that could predict the presence of increased pressure-pain sensitivity independent of the migraine cycle through a single assessment.
Methods: This was a secondary analysis of a previous study in which 198 episodic and chronic migraine patients were assessed during all phases of the migraine cycle. Pressure pain threshold (PPT) was assessed over the temporalis, cervical spine, hand, and leg.
