An apparently not previously reported type of osteochondral fracture of the lateral femoral condyle associated with dislocation of the patella is presented. The mechanism of the fracture is described as forced inward rotation of the femur against the tibia. Internal fixation is the surgical treatment of choice in this type of fracture.

Objective: The objectives of this study were (1) to evaluate the need for flexed radiographs of the proximal medial trochlear ridge (PMTR) after trauma involving medial tarsus; (2) to evaluate outcome following arthroscopic removal of traumatic osteochondral fragments (TOCF) resulting from direct injury to PMTR.
Methods: Records of patients with wounds to the medial tarsus were searched and those with TOCF of the PMTR included. Patient history, fracture etiology, preoperative diagnostics, and intraoperative findings were documented.

Background: Limitations to using the knee as donor cartilage include cartilage thickness mismatch and donor site morbidity. Using the radial head as donor autograft for capitellar lesions may allow for local graft harvest without distant donor site morbidity. The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the feasibility of performing local osteochondral autograft transfer from the nonarticular cartilaginous rim of the radial head to the capitellum.

Background: Isolated posterior malleolar (PM) fractures are rare fractures without consensus regarding treatment decisions and functional outcomes. The study aims to compare the clinical and radiological results of patients treated surgically or conservatively for isolated PM fractures.
Methods: The study included 30 patients who presented with an isolated PM fracture and were treated conservatively (n = 15) or with surgery (n = 15).

Background: Rib and sternum fractures are common injuries associated with cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). The fracture mechanism is either direct by application of force on sternum and anterior ribs or indirect by bending through compression of the thorax. The aim of this study was to determine morphologies of rib fractures after CPR and to reevaluate prior findings on fracture localisation, type and degree of dislocation.
