Background: The sympathetic autonomic nervous system plays a major role in arrhythmia development and maintenance. Historical preclinical studies describe preferential increases in cardiac sympathetic tone upon selective stimulation of the subclavian ansae (SA), a nerve cord encircling the subclavian artery.
Objectives: This study sought to define, for the first time, the functional anatomy and physiology of the SA in humans using a percutaneous approach.

Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) is an established psychiatric procedure for patients suffering from treatment-resistant depression (TRD). Biomarker identification to predict rTMS outcomes may assist the clinician in optimizing treatment selection. In recent years, different electrophysiological markers, in particular electroencephalographic (EEG) markers, were shown to yield discriminative power between responders and non-responders to various TRD treatments.

Risk-taking is a prominent aspect of adolescent behavior. A recent neurodevelopmental model suggests that this trait could influence prosocial and antisocial decision-making, proposing a new category known as prosocial and antisocial risk-taking. The primary objective of this study was to examine the electrophysiological underpinnings of prosocial and antisocial risk-taking in adolescence, a developmental period characterized by elevated risky, prosocial, and antisocial decisions.
