Objective: Presenting the current status of patient outcomes with acute type A aortic dissection in Japan.
Methods: The JATS, JROAD, JRAD, JCVSD, NCD, The Tokyo acute aortic super network, and J-ORCHESTRA database were used.
Results: The incidence of AAD ranged from 10 to 20 per 100,000 population.

Background: Angiodysplasias commonly develop in patients with left ventricular assist devices (LVADs) and often bleed recurrently. Whether octreotide reduces the burden of angiodysplasia or the frequency of bleeding in these patients is controversial. Hence, we aimed to study the effect of long-acting octreotide on angiodysplasia bleeding in LVAD patients.

Purpose: We aimed to estimate trends of dementia incidence and to compute and compare all-cause mortality among people living with and without dementia, in a whole regionalpopulation, from 2013 to 2023.
Methods: Our retrospective population-wide cohort study included 7,030,374 people aged 50 years and older from regional administrative data, living in Lombardy, the most populous Italian region. We computed annual age-standardised dementia incidence estimated rates and age-standardised all-cause mortality estimated rates among people living with and without dementia, both overall and stratified by age and sex.

Objective: To examine the association of social determinants of health and age at heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (HeFH) diagnosis and treatment.
Study Design: We performed a retrospective, single-center study of children with HeFH. Multivariable linear regression models were used to examine the association between Child Opportunity Index (COI) and age at HeFH diagnosis and statin initiation.
