Agriculture dust contains many organic immunogenic compounds, and organic dust exposure is strongly associated with the development of immune-mediated chronic pulmonary diseases such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Chronic organic dust exposure from agriculture sources induces chronic lung inflammatory diseases and organic dust exposure has recently been linked to an increased risk of developing dementia. The cytokine interleukin-22 (IL-22) has been established as an important mediator in the resolution and repair of lung tissues.

Two novel complexes, [Cu()Cl] and [Zn()Cl], were synthesized from 1,1'-[(3-fluoro-phen-yl)methyl-ene]bis-[3-(3-fluoro-phen-yl)imidazo[1,5-]pyridine] (), and copper(II) and zinc(II) chloride, respectively. The structures of these complexes were confirmed using ESI-MS, IR and H NMR spectra. The results reveal mononuclear structures in which the central metal atoms are coordinated by two N atoms from the imidazole rings and two Cl ligands.

Background: SARS-CoV-2 responsible for the COVID-19 pandemic, infiltrates the human body by binding to the ACE2 receptor in the respiratory system cell membranes, leading to severe lung tissue damage. An analog of ACE2, ACE1, has gained attention due to its well-known Deletion/Insertion (D/I) polymorphism, which seems to be associated with COVID-19 outcomes. This study aims to reveal the allelic and genotypic frequencies of the rs4646994 polymorphism in the Moroccan population and investigate the association between COVID-19 outcomes and both genotypic and demographic data.

Objective To reveal the spatial distribution patterns of key pollutants in the Huaihe River Basin and quantify the risks and burdens of non-gastrointestinal cancers by the grade of pollution, providing targets and data support for enhanced management of water pollution in the Huaihe River Basin. Methods Surface water quality data of the Huaihe River Basin were obtained from the National Surface Water Environmental Quality Monitoring Network(2021).Incidence data of seven cancers were extracted from the 2019 Annual Report of the China Cancer Registry.

Background: Exposure to nitrogen dioxide (NO) is associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular, respiratory, and other diseases and health outcomes. Although NO emissions have decreased in Germany, concentrations currently observed still pose a threat to population health. The aim of this study is to estimate the environmental burden of disease (EBD) resulting from long-term NO exposure in Germany from 2010 to 2021.
