Introduction: Human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-low breast cancer, defined by HER2 immunohistochemistry scores of 1+ or 2+ without gene amplification, represents a unique subgroup with emerging therapeutic implications. Limited data describe the behavior of HER2-low tumors, particularly in metastatic settings. This study evaluated the frequency of HER2-low expression, Ki-67 proliferation index, and survival outcomes across HER2 subtypes in metastatic breast carcinoma using cytology specimens.

Exfoliative cytology has proven to be a valuable diagnostic tool in the early detection of malignant neoplasms. However, its application in the oral cavity has been met with skepticism and limited investigation due to the perception that clinical examination alone is sufficient for early diagnosis. Nonetheless, recent research efforts have focused on the utility of exfoliative cytology in oral cavity neoplasms, motivated by the high mortality rate associated with oral cancer.

Aim: This study aimed to determine the necessity of intraluminal washout through cytological assessment to prevent implantation of exfoliated cancer cells (ECCs) in patients with rectal and sigmoid cancers.
Methods: We studied 140 patients with either sigmoid or rectal cancer who underwent anastomosis surgery using a double-stapling technique. An intraluminal washout sample was collected before and after irrigation with 1000, 1500, or 2000 mL of physiological saline or distilled water.

Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the clinical utility of methylation (CISCER) test in triaging high-risk human papillomavirus (hrHPV)-positive women.
Methods: We enrolled women who underwent opportunistic screening at Cervical Disease outpatient clinics of Xuzhou Maternity and Child Health Hospital, and Yueyang Central Hospital from December 2022 to May 2024. The effectiveness of CISCER and cytology tests in triaging hrHPV+ patients was analyzed.
