Objective: To determine the relative frequency of orbital lesions based on the site of origin and histopathology at a Tertiary care hospital (Mayo Hospital, Lahore Pakistan) from 1996 till 2022 (27 years).
Methods: This descriptive case series included 2651 patients of all age groups presenting with orbital lesions who initially got enrolled at Institute of Ophthalmology Mayo Hospital, Lahore from 1996 till 2022. Of these, 583 patients left against medical advice.

Background: Human brucellosis, which is endemic in the eastern region of Turkey, infects the reticulo-endothelial system. Acute brucellosis may cause hepatomegaly or splenomegaly.
Aims: The main purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of the point shear wave elastography (pSWE) method in identifying and detecting liver and spleen stiffness in acute brucellosis.

Background: Ultrasound-responsive nanodroplets (NDs) targeting tumors have shown great potential in ultrasound imaging and tumor therapy, but most of these studies are based NDs with lipid shells that cannot overcome the uptake by cells of the reticulo-endothelial system (RES). NDs with shells comprised of polyethylene glycol (PEG)-based polymers could effectively suppressed the uptake of RES, but the phase transition, contrast-enhanced imaging and drug release about these NDs have not been well illuminated.
Methods: Folate receptor targeted NDs with shells of polymers and loaded with DOX (FA-NDs/DOX) were prepared.

Enhancing tissue permeability and achieving drug aggregation is the key to targeted tumor therapy. A series triblock copolymers of poly(ethylene glycol)-poly(L-lysine)-poly(L-glutamine) were synthesized by ring-opening polymerization, and charge-convertible nano-delivery system was constructed by loading doxorubicin (DOX) with 2-(hexaethylimide) ethanol on side chain. In normal environment (pH = 7.

Complement opsonization is among the biggest challenges facing nanomedicine. Nearly instantly after injection into blood, nanoparticles are opsonized by the complement protein C3, leading to clearance by phagocytes, fouling of targeting moieties, and release of anaphylatoxins. While surface polymers such as poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) partially decrease complement opsonization, most nanoparticles still suffer from extensive complement opsonization, especially when linked to targeting moieties.
