Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics, National Cancer Institute, Bethesda, Maryland, USA.
Background: Oral microbes detected in feces have been associated with colorectal cancer (CRC) in cross-sectional studies. This study investigated the prospective associations between the oral microbiome and incident CRC in the Agricultural Health Study (AHS), National Institutes of Health-AARP (NIH-AARP) Diet and Health Study, and Prostate, Lung, Colorectal, and Ovarian (PLCO) Cancer Screening Trial.
Methods: Individuals with oral samples collected before incident CRC diagnoses were identified in the AHS (N = 331), NIH-AARP (N = 249), and PLCO (N = 446) and compared with referent subcohorts (N = 3431).

Objective: In the unique clinical context of a retropharyngeal carotid artery (RPC), free flap reconstruction (FFR) may be used for small pathologic tumor (pT)1-2 human papillomavirus (HPV)+ oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) tumors to provide vessel coverage, providing a unique case-control study model. This study aims to elucidate the impact of FFR on functional outcomes following transoral robotic surgery (TORS).
Study Design: Retrospective review of electronic medical records between 2010 and 2022.

Background: As a combination of curve of Spee and curve of Wilson, the Monson sphere reflects the arrangement of teeth in three-dimensional (3D) space. For occlusal analysis, the Monson sphere can provide an important reference for prosthetic reconstructions or orthodontic treatments.
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to generate and investigate the 3-D Monson sphere through a complete digital workflow with intraoral scanning models and custom software.

Purpose: Tumor Treating Fields (TTFields) are delivered by transducer arrays applied to scalp or body surface for treatment of multiple malignancies. Dermatologic complications are thought to be related to hydrogel situated between the electrodes and scalp or skin to facilitate electric field penetration. High intensity of TTFields on these surfaces may also be a contributing factor.

The use of 3D printing offers numerous application possibilities in traumatology, including anatomic models, repositioning and drilling guides as well as patient-specific implants. The greatest challenge lies in the rapid availability as many procedures require an immediate intervention. Anatomic models support surgical planning by complementing visual impressions with tactile ones.
