Telomere attrition is a hallmark of biological aging, contributing to cellular replicative senescence. However, few studies have examined the determinants of telomere attrition in vivo in humans. Mitochondrial Health Index (MHI), a composite marker integrating mitochondrial energy-transformation capacity and content, may be one important mediator of telomere attrition, as it could impact telomerase activity, a direct regulator of telomere maintenance.

The microbial communities associated with the fish are directly influenced by the host's diet, and further understanding the impact on mucosal microbiota is needed. Fatigue is one of the most prevalent and disabling symptoms among patients with MS, but there is limited research investigating the longitudinal determinants of fatigue progression. This study aims to identify the sociodemographic, behavioral and clinical characteristics, and therapeutic regimens that are correlated with worsening fatigue over time in patients diagnosed with MS. This is a retrospective chart review of 483 patients.
