The experience with the surgical treatment of 97 patients subjected to late repeated operations on the lungs and pleura is generalized in this work. 68% of these patients had pleural empyema and bronchial fistulae. The authors prefer the radical surgery to pulmonectomy, pleuropulmonectomy, decortication, lung resection and repeated amputation of the main bronchus. Fatality in the late repeated operations was noted in 3.09% of cases and complications--in 10.3%.

Moniezia cestode infection of livestock is generally regarded as being of little significance. No pathology associated with Moniezia infection has been reported from cattle. The repeated diagnosis of Moniezia infection in young cattle included in six nematode control grazing studies or examined in two helminth parasite surveys conducted over the past two decades in the south of Germany stimulated analysis of this data to draw conclusions about the epidemiology of bovine Moniezia infection.

We examined the morphology of the fNIRS response to three different speech contrasts, namely "Tea/Ba," "Bee/Ba," and "Ga/Ba." Sixteen infants aged between 3 and 13 months old were included in this study and their fNIRS data were recorded during natural sleep.
