Background: This study evaluated Health Care Workers' (HCWs) knowledge, attitude, perceived compliance, and potential influencing factors related to Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) standards in the North Bank East region of The Gambia.
Method: The study was an analytic cross-sectional study, conducted in 2021 using a multistage sampling technique. Thirteen health facilities were sampled from the North Bank East Region of The Gambia.

Deep reinforcement learning is considered an effective technology in quantum optimization and can provide strategies for optimal control of complex quantum systems. More precise measurements require simulation control at multiple experimental stages. Based on this, we improved a multi-objective deep reinforcement learning method in mathematical convex optimization theory for multi-process quantum optimal control optimization.

This study reports the preparation of cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs) from commercial bleached eucalyptus Kraft pulp (BEKP) using a hydrothermal treatment in the presence of maleic acid (MA), followed by high-pressure homogenization. Compared with conventional hydrolysis methods, this approach offers significant advantages, including lower acid concentration, higher yield, and milder processing conditions. CNCs were produced with a high yield (70-85 wt %) by high-pressure homogenization of hydrothermally treated BEKP fibers with 10-20 wt % maleic acid at 150 °C, giving rise to a stable translucent gel of CNCs with a rod-like morphology (200-400 nm length and 10-40 nm width).

Background: Among bariatric surgeries, laparoscopic sleeve gastrostomy (LSG) has gained good global acceptance, but this surgery, like any other invasive procedure, has side effects. Various techniques have been tested to reduce these complications, which are used under the title of stapler line reinforcement (SLR). The purpose of this research is to compare the bleeding, leakage, mortality, food intolerance, re-hospitalization, and post-operative invasive therapeutic interventions in LSG surgery in two groups with and without omentopexy method.

Backgroud: The ALMS1 gene is predominantly localized to cilia, particularly in the photoreceptor cells of the retina, auditory neurons, kidneys, and other ciliated structures. Pathogenic mutations in this gene cause Alstrom syndrome (AS), which is characterized by dilated cardiomyopathy, retinal degeneration, neurodeafness, and centripetal obesity. However, the genetic mechanism of the ALMS1 gene remains unclear.
