Catheter-based pulmonary artery denervation (PADN) has achieved promising outcomes to treat pulmonary hypertension (PH). We herein present stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) as a novel noninvasive approach for PADN. A single fraction of 15 Gy, 20 Gy or 25 Gy was delivered for PADN in a thromboxane A2 (TxA2) - induced acute PH swine model.

Rationale & Objective: Spousal caregivers participate extensively in the care of patients with kidney failure. Although previous studies suggested that these caregivers experience a high burden, a comprehensive understanding of the determinants of this burden and strategies to alleviate it are needed. Therefore, this study sought to explore the contributing and alleviating determinants of burden in spousal caregivers of patients with kidney failure.

Background: This study aims to identify the factors influencing the risk of lactic acidosis (LA) in patients with ischemic stroke (IS) and to develop a predictive model for assessing the risk of LA in IS patients during their stay in the intensive care unit (ICU).
Methods: A retrospective cohort design was employed, with data collected from the Medical Information Mart for Intensive Care (MIMIC)-III and MIMIC-IV databases spanning from 2001 to 2019. LA was defined as pH < 7.
