Background: Phylogenomic studies over the past two decades have consolidated the major branches of the arthropod tree of life. However, especially within the Chelicerata (spiders, scorpions, and kin), interrelationships of the constituent taxa remain controversial. While sea spiders (Pycnogonida) are firmly established as sister group of all other extant representatives (Euchelicerata), euchelicerate phylogeny itself is still contested.

Despite the involvement of ɑ1adrenergic (ɑ1AR) and Histamine 2 receptors (H2R) in cardiac hypertrophy (CH), their relationship is yet to be studied. Our study investigated interrelationship between them using in vitro CH model. Background: We previously reported that (a) lipopolysaccharide (LPS) is a potent adjuvant for inducing Nickel (Ni) allergy in mice at both the sensitization and elicitation steps, (b) LPS induces Interleukin-1 (IL-1) and histidine decarboxylase (HDC, the histamine-forming enzyme), and IL-1 induces HDC, (c) Ni allergy is induced in mast cell-deficient, but not IL-1-deficient (IL-1-KO) or HDC-KO mice.
Objective: To examine the roles of IL-1 and HDC (or histamine) and their interrelationship during the establishment of Ni allergy.
Methods: Ni (NiCl ) 1 mmol/L containing IL-1β and/or histamine was injected intraperitoneally (sensitization step).

In mammals, during the acute inflammatory response, the complex interrelationship and cross-talk among histamine and the immune system has been fairly well characterized.
