Opioid-free anesthesia (OFA) is increasingly used at present in surgical practice by many hospitals as a new and very promising anesthesiologic regimen. This study aimed to compare the efficacy of standard general anesthesia with opioids with so-called opioid-free anesthesia on postoperative outcomes of patients who underwent gastric bypass surgery. This randomized, single-blind clinical study enrolled 103 patients scheduled for elective gastric bypass surgery.

The aim of the study was to assess acute pain syndrome in patients after septoplasty using different tactics of general anesthesia. All patients received local anesthesia with 2% procaine solution. In group 1 (95 patients), premedication with 2% promedol solution and 60 mg of ketorolac in the evening was used; group 2 (72 patients) was administered with fentanyl, propofol, cisatracuria besylate, tranexamic acid, atropine, and metoclopramide; and group 3 (89 patients) received atracuria besylate, sodium thiopental, nitrous oxide, and halothane.

Objective: Evaluation of the safety and effectiveness of the use of a fixed combination of orphenadrine and diclofenac for analgesia in the early postoperative period of cardiac surgery patients.
Material And Methods: There were two analgesia regimens evaluated in a retrospective comparative study. In 23 patients (group 1), Neodolpasse (a fixed combination of 30 mg orphenadrine and 75 mg diclofenac) was administered immediately after trachea extubation.
Background: Ultrasound-guided pectoral nerve block type II is a recently proposed technique for postoperative analgesia after breast cancer surgery. The thoracic paravertebral block is widely used for this purpose by decades. The presented study compares the efficacy of these two techniques for postoperative analgesia.
