Intimate partner sexual violence is a serious problem and difficult to detect, often due to beliefs, myths and gender stereotypes. This study analyzes whether women identify this violence better through direct questions about sexual coercion, using the Semi-structured Interview for the Exploration of Intimate Partner Sexual Violence (EVS), which examines the characteristics and circumstances of these situations. A total of 110 women participated, divided into two groups: 80 who sought help at a center for victims of intimate partner violence and have therefore overcome common barriers to asking for help, and 30 who attended a counseling center during divorce proceedings, without having reported any form of violence.

Child sexual abuse (CSA) is a widespread and alarming issue, with an estimated global prevalence of 12-13% (affecting 18% of girls and 8% of boys). Despite its prevalence, many physicians working with children have insufficient knowledge of the medical diagnosis of CSA. This lack of expertise, combined with the sensitive and complex nature of these cases, often hampers proper identification and management.

Background: Endometrioma are endometriotic deposits within the ovary. Laparoscopic management of endometriomas is associated with shorter hospital stay, faster recovery, and decreased hospital costs compared with laparotomy. The previous version of this systematic review (2008), including randomised controlled trials (RCTs) of surgical interventions for endometrioma, concluded that laparoscopic cystectomy (excision) was preferable to drainage and ablation of endometrioma.

Victim-survivors often face barriers in accessing specialised care, highlighting the need for a multidisciplinary response, especially in healthcare settings. The Maison des Femmes (MdF) model provides holistic support to women experiencing VAW, including medical, psychological, social and legal support.
