Background: Epidemiological studies reported associations between ozone (O) exposure and cardiovascular diseases, yet the biological mechanisms remain underexplored. Hypoxia is a shared pathogenesis of O-associated diseases; therefore, we hypothesized that O exposure may induce changes in hypoxia-related markers, leading to adverse cardiovascular effects.
Objectives: This study aimed to investigate associations of short-term O exposure with hypoxic biomarkers and arterial stiffness.

Cardiovascular diseases are a leading cause of death, and psychosocial stress is considered a contributing factor to these issues. With the rising number of heart surgeries, proper rehabilitation post-surgery is essential. Previous studies have demonstrated the positive impact of yoga and transcendental meditation on the cardiovascular system.

Based on 28 months of ethnographic research in Deanuleahki-a river valley in Sápmi, the transborder Indigenous Sámi homeland-this article traces my interlocutors' striving to reclaim and repair ecological and kin relations through the everyday praxis of care. I trace this striving through the unmaking and remaking of local relations of care amidst encroachment by post-Second World War Nordic welfare states and regimes of environmental stewardship. I propose a dual conceptualization of ecosocial injury and resurgent care to account for, on the one hand, care's alienation from its social and ecological contexts; and, on the other, the intimate everyday labor of revivifying relations of kinship and belonging, and conditions of material livability, within local ecologies.

Background: This study investigated the relationship between lipid-associated loci identified through genome-wide association studies (GWAS) and the risk of peripheral artery disease (PAD), its severity, as well as clinical and laboratory features.
Research Design And Methods: A study included 1263 unrelated Russian subjects, consisting of 620 patients diagnosed with PAD and 643 healthy controls. Thirteen single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) were genotyped using the MassArray-4 system.
