Myelomatous bone disease is a complication characterized by lytic bone lesions, reduced bone formation, bone pain, and increased fracture risk. Understanding these underlying mechanisms is crucial for developing effective therapeutic approaches. Here we show the role of enhancer of zeste homolog 2 (EZH2) in bone lesions induced by myeloma cells.

Preeclampsia, a life-threatening pregnancy complication, remains a major global health concern. Understanding the complex molecular mechanisms underlying this disorder is crucial for improving both diagnostics and therapeutic strategies. In this study, a multi-omics approach based on NMR metabolomics and RNA-seq transcriptomics analyses was conducted to analyze placental tissue samples obtained from patients with preeclampsia and healthy controls.

Identifying metabolites in NMR-based plant metabolomics is challenging due to the complexity of plant metabolites. This complexity stems from the abundance and diverse chemical properties of compounds, which vary in concentration across plant specimens. Additionally, the lack of automated identification software complicates the analysis process.

Case: We present the case of a 24-year-old woman who sustained a left midshaft clavicle fracture with acute subclavian artery compression, subclavian vein laceration, and complete brachial plexus palsy after a motor vehicle collision. The patient underwent urgent open reduction internal fixation of the clavicle and repair of the subclavian vein. Two years later, she underwent opponensplasty and flexor digitorum profundus tendon transfers.
