Background: Although the intramedullary nail represents the treatment for most tibia diaphyseal fractures, there is no agreement on the configuration of the distal locking screws. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the impact of the configuration of distal locking bolts on the healing of a tibial shaft fracture.
Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 170 closed fractures of the tibia diaphyseal operated consecutively between 2018 and 2021.

Carbon fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP) is frequently utilized as a bolted joint material in aircraft applications because of its high specific strength and specific modulus. Therefore, the performance of CFRP under -50° is significant. Here, we discuss the specimens of two bolted connections (single-nailed and double-nailed) used for static load tensile and tensile fatigue tests.

Introduction: Intramedullary nailing is a commonly performed surgery for tibia diaphysis fractures. However, in selected cases, this procedure can get complicated with rotational malalignment if not checked carefully intra-operatively.
Case Report: A 29 year-old male sustained polytrauma and was treated with intramedullary nailing for bilateral femur and right-side tibia fractures.
