Unlabelled: Widespread recognition of food as medicine interventions' role in reducing food insecurity and improving health outcomes has recently emerged. Several states have released In Lieu of Services, state-approved alternative services that may be offered by managed care organizations in place of covered benefits, or 1,115 Medicaid waivers, which may allow for expanded nutrition services to reduce food insecurity and improve health outcomes. However, there are significant gaps in understanding how to create a statewide system for delivering "healthcare by food" interventions.

Variation exists in our attitude and behaviour towards food and exercise, resulting in different degrees of health and ill health. Cultural and economic factors contribute to this, alongside personal choices, leading to a spectrum from normative eating, through disordered eating to the extremes of eating disorders (EDs). Understanding the intricate interplay between biological, psychological, and sociocultural factors to eating, exercise and body image is paramount to understand the current state regarding EDs and to deliver/develop multifaceted and individualised treatments.

Background/aims: To examine the association between sociodemographic characteristics and attendance at Hospital Eye Service (HES) referrals from the Diabetic Eye Screening Programme (DESP), in a large, ethnically diverse urban population.
Methods: Retrospective cohort study (4 January 2016-12 August 2019) of people with diabetic retinopathy (DR) referred from an English DESP to a tertiary referral eye hospital. We conducted a multivariable logistic regression with attendance as the primary outcome, controlling for age, sex, ethnicity, Index of Multiple Deprivation, best eye visual acuity and baseline DR grade.

Background: A number of efforts have been made to tailor behavioral healthcare treatments to the variable needs of patients with low back pain (LBP). The most common approach involves the STarT Back Screening Tool (SBST) to triage the need for psychologically informed care, which explores concerns about pain and addresses unhelpful beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors. Such beliefs that pain always signifies injury or tissue damage and that exercise should be avoided have been implied as psychosocial mediators of chronic pain and can impede recovery.
