Neurogenic erectile dysfunction is a consequence of alterations in neural pathways, autonomic, somatic, the combination of both or brain components that induce erection. This review aims to explain the physiopathological mechanisms of the most frequent neurological alterations causing erectile dysfunction and sexual disorders.

Viewing a series of aversive pictures prompts emotional reactivity reflecting sustained defensive engagement. The present study examined the effects of a concurrent visual task on autonomic, somatic, electrocortical, and facial components of this defensive state. Results indicated that emotional activation was largely preserved despite continuous visual distraction, although evidence of attenuation was observed in startle reflex and electrocortical measures.

A study was made of the clinical picture of autonomic-somatic++ components of alcoholic abstinence and delirium as well as of the role of cardiovascular (hemodynamic) deviations. Using tetrapolar chest rheography the main types of hemodynamic disorders were described on a material of a random examination of 137 patients with stage II and III alcoholism. Of these, 64 patients were with the abstinent syndrome and 73 with the delirious syndrome according to the growth of the status gravity.
