The encapsulation of curcumin in the emulsions has attracted much attention in functional food development. Herein, the fish oil-loaded silver carp scale gelatin-stabilized emulsions with vitamins were explored for the delivery of curcumin. The curcumin encapsulation had no obvious effect on the formation, storage stability, lipid oxidation, and in vitro droplet digestion behaviors of the emulsions.

Plastic pollution and global warming are widespread issues that lead to several impacts on aquatic organisms. Despite harmful studies on both subjects, there are few studies on how temperature increases plastics' adverse effects on aquatic animals, mainly freshwater species. Polychlorinated diphenyl ethers (PCDEs) are a class of chlorinated aromatic compounds with structural similarities to polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins/dibenzofurans (PCDD/Fs). Due to their physicochemical properties, PCDEs are highly resistant to degradation and tend to accumulate in soils, sediments, and aquatic organisms, making them capable of entering and persisting in the food chain. As with other persistent organic pollutants (POPs), diet represents the primary route of human exposure to PCDEs.
