The main purpose of the studies reported in the present paper was to test the theory that the tendon tissues of birds predisposed to synovitis, will show qualitative and (or) quantitative deficiencies. The tensile strength (TS) (maximum stress in kg/sq.mm. which can be tolerated by a particular tendon) was adopted as a parameter of the quality of the tendon tissues. The sectional area of a particular tendon per kg. of body weight served as a quantitative parameter. The results of these investigations were in accordance with the theory: the tendon tissues of birds predisposed to synovitis were found to be inferior to those of birds rarely affected with synovitis, both from the qualitative and from the quantitative point of view. These findings will have to be taken into account in future research programmes concerned with synovitis. Only to pay attention to infectious factors in the problem of synovitis means a one-sided approach which will probably fail to provide a definite solution.

Unlabelled: Wound debridement is commonplace in expediting wound healing in the clinic. Despite this, there are limited resources available for simulation training for practitioners prior to facing real-life patients. Typically, citrus peels or porcine skin are employed in a vain attempt to improve debridement proficiency, yet these fail to provide a realistic experience of the textures and consistencies of wounds.

The skeletal system, composed of bones, muscles, joints, ligaments, and tendons, serves as the foundation for maintaining human posture, mobility, and overall biomechanical functionality. However, with ageing, chronic overuse, and acute injuries, conditions such as osteoarthritis, intervertebral disc degeneration, muscle atrophy, and ligament or tendon tears have become increasingly prevalent and pose serious clinical challenges. These disorders not only result in pain, functional loss, and a marked reduction in patients' quality of life but also impose substantial social and economic burdens.

: Asymptomatic patellar tendon abnormality (APTA) is considered a precursor to patellar tendinopathy (PT), but its pathogenesis remains unclear, especially regarding changes in muscle coordination. Therefore, it is essential to explore the muscle synergy patterns in individuals with APTA. This study recorded sEMG data during stop-jump tasks in 8 APTA and 8 healthy amateur male basketball players in a simulated basketball game.

The purpose was to answer what is the relationship between torques acting on the human body, how does the triceps calf muscle balance the weight of a tilted body and what is the foot's role in the titling body? Two research models were developed. Model 1 - the one-sided lever system consists of a flat bar with, an axis of rotation, used to determine the weight and torque at a given point on it. Model 2 - the two-sided lever system consists of a flat bar imitating a tilted body counteracted by the Achilles tendon, and a platform imitating a foot.

Variations of the ankle anatomy are infrequent and exist as supernumerary muscles and tendons. Often understudied and overlooked, their presence can cause many complications of the lower extremity. These muscles, although often asymptomatic, can cause great pain and complications such as tenosynovitis, tarsal tunnel syndrome, lateral ankle instability, and ankle pain when they impinge on the normal anatomy of the patient.
