This study examines the interplay between humble teacher leadership and student creative process engagement, grounded in Social Exchange Theory and Self-Determination Theory. Additionally, it analyzes the sequential mediating roles of student trust and psychological empowerment, as well as the moderating effect of proactive personality. Data were collected at three time points from 384 participants across Chinese universities and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with Smart PLS 4.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAt the intersection of literature and psychoanalysis, this essay draws on Freud's discovery of the infantile sexual unconscious to explore moments in the late novels of Henry James, in which an adult protagonist both recognizes and disavows the visible evidence of a sexual relationship. The essay considers Hans Holbein's 1533 painting, The Ambassadors, as a possible source for Henry James' choice of title for his 1903 novel: the painting's visual play with point of view touches on the narrative disavowal of what is there to be seen. The essay explores some narrative dimensions of Freud's writing to highlight the dynamic disclosure of the infantile within the adult.

Access to adolescent-friendly, culturally relevant and stigma-free mental health support is essential for reducing the long-term psychological, social and economic challenges of mental illness of youth living with HIV (YLWH). Now more than ever, innovative task-shifting interventions, through which non-mental health professionals provide mental health support to YLWH, need to be explored and supported. While many of these have considered shifting tasks to nurses, tapping into the wisdom and inspiration from artists in the community where YLWH are living could represent a novel and potentially powerful task-shifting strategy.

Oxytocin, a neuropeptide pivotal in social and reproductive behaviors, has recently gained attention for its potential impact on cognitive processes relevant to creativity. Yet, the direct intricate interplay between oxytocin and creativity, particularly in the context of individual differences in motivational orientations, remains poorly understood. Here, we investigated the effects of intranasal oxytocin on creative thinking in individuals characterized by varying levels of approach and avoidance motivations.

Despite their efficacy, biologics are not without limitations, including the need for intermittent administration and ongoing monitoring.
