: Shoulder pain is a very common health issue among adults, being 8% due to calcifying tendinopathies (CT) of the shoulder. The evolutionary process of this lesion can be classified according to Bianchi Martinoli, depending on the ultrasound appearance. In 50% of cases, with first-line treatments, they resolve spontaneously.

Objective: This study aimed to evaluate stone clearance rates, complications classified using the Clavien-Dindo system, and predictors of PCNL outcomes, with a focus on improving lower calyx stone clearance.

Glycogen storage disease type Ia (GSDIa) is a rare inherited disorder resulting in potentially life-threatening hypoglycemia, metabolic abnormalities, and complications often requiring hospitalization. This retrospective database analysis assessed the complications, resource utilization, and costs in a large cohort of patients with GSDIa. We conducted a retrospective cohort study of GSDIa patients and matched non-GSDIa comparators utilizing the PharMetrics® Plus database.

Background And Aims: Enzyme insufficiency (EPI) is common in chronic pancreatitis (CP), pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), and after pancreatic resection. 40%-50% of CP patients and 70%-80% of PDAC patients develop EPI. 1/3rd of these patients are prescribed Pancreatic enzyme replacement therapy (PERT), often at an inadequate dose, with evidence that this leads to increased morbidity and mortality.
