Between 30% and 50% of infants and children with pediatric feeding disorders demonstrate oropharyngeal aspiration. Thickening fluids are a compensatory strategy that is commonly recommended by speech pathologists for the management of oropharyngeal aspiration. Ongoing variability in the preparation of thickened fluids across infant formulas and healthcare facilities continue to limit the standardization of the preparation of thickened infant and pediatric formulas.

Background: Single-nephron dynamics in progressive IgA nephropathy (IgAN) have not been studied. We applied novel methodology to explore single-nephron parameters in IgAN.

The therapeutic options for patients with relapsed or metastatic myxoid liposarcoma (MLS) remain scarce and there is currently no targeted therapy available. Inhibition of the HSP90 family of chaperones has been suggested as a possible therapeutic option for patients with MLS. However, the clinical effect of different HSP90 inhibitors vary considerably and no comparative study in MLS has been performed.

Introduction: There are a growing number of older adults with combined age-related vision loss (ARVL) and dementia. Existing literature shows the pervasive impact that both diagnoses have separately on the participation of older adults, however, little is known about the societal participation of older adults with both conditions. As such, the aim of this scoping review was to explore the combined impact of ARVL and dementia on the participation of older adults, with a specific focus on highlighting strategies that help mitigate the impact of ARVL and dementia on participation.

We isolated five microalgal strains from alpine snow near Vancouver, Canada, which display morphological features suggestive of the genera Koliella and Raphidonema. Due to variations in cell size and shape, we could not make a clear delimitation based on morphology. We proceeded to a molecular analysis and included 22 strains from the CCCryo culture collection, previously identified as members of four closely related genera: Raphidonema, Koliella, Stichococcus, and Pseudochlorella.
