Objective: Following recent changes to the German Narcotics Act, this article examines prehospital analgesia by paramedics using piritramide vs. nalbuphine + paracetamol.
Material And Methods: Prehospital analgesia administered by paramedics from the Fulda (piritramide) and Gütersloh (nalbuphine + paracetamol) emergency services was compared regarding pain intensity at the beginning and end of the mission, measured using the numeric rating scale (NRS).

Purpose: Adequate pain management is eminently relevant for elderly and more vulnerable patients with hip fractures in the setting of pre and postoperative pain. This study compares postoperative hip fracture patients treated with standard pain management with a variety of medications or an approach with only one option in each medication category (nonopioid: acetaminophen; opioid: fentanyl TTS 12,5 mcg/hour; rescue medication: piritramide) to simplify the treatment algorithm for nurses and improve patient well-being.

Background: Pain management in the pre-hospital setting remains a particular challenge for paramedics and emergency physicians, especially in children. This study evaluates the pre-hospital use and effect of analgesics in children with trauma or pain due to other reasons.
Methods: This study is a retrospective analysis of the database of a German air rescue service and was conducted over a period of 9 years (2012-2020) to assess pain in general and whether patients with trauma pain due to other reasons received treatment with analgesics.
