Objective: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a complex and multifaceted disease that is increasingly prevalent globally. The involvement of immune cells in the tumour microenvironment has been linked to the progression of HCC, but the exact cause-and-effect relationship is not yet clear.
