Background: Multifunctional fluorescent probes have attracted much attention due to their wide range of applications and high utilization. In this study, a multifunctional fluorescent probe (E)-3-(4-(7-(4-(diphenylamino)phenyl)benzo[c] [1,2,5]thiadiazol-4-yl)phenyl)acrylic acid (TBAC) based on triphenylamine was designed and synthesized.

Results: The TBAC probe provided excellent aggregation-induced emission (AIE) performance and could be used as a fluorescent ink for printing.

Electronic address:

Ferroptosis is a novel type of programmed cell death characterized by radical-driven lipid peroxidation accumulation, which is involved in various diseases, including acute organ injury and neurodegenerative disorders. Pharmacological inhibition of ferroptosis is a promising strategy for treating these diseases. In this study, 16 benzo[b][1,4]oxazine derivatives were synthesized and assayed for their antiferroptotic activity.

Departamento de Agronomía, Universidad Nacional José Faustino Sánchez Carrión (UNJFSC), Lima 15136, Peru.

Bioremediation induced by bacteria offers a promising alternative for the contamination of aromatic hydrocarbons due to their metabolic processes suitable for the removal of these pollutants, as many of them are carcinogenic molecules and dangerous to human health. Our research focused on isolating a bacterium from the rhizosphere of the tara tree with the ability to degrade polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, using draft genomic sequencing and computational analysis. sp.

Mutagenicity testing is a component of the hazard assessment of industrial chemicals, biocides, and pesticides. Mutations induced by test substances can be detected by in vitro and in vivo methods that have been adopted as OECD Test Guidelines. One of these in vivo methods is the Transgenic Rodent Assay (TGRA), OECD test guideline no.

Designing pillar-layered metal-organic frameworks with photo-induced electron transfer interactions between ligands for enhanced photodynamic sterilization and photocatalytic degradation of dyes and antibiotics.

J Colloid Interface Sci

January 2025

School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Guangxi Key Laboratory of Electrochemical Energy Materials, Guangxi University, Nanning 530004 PR China. Electronic address:

Pollution caused by antibiotics, bacteria, and organic dyes presents global public health challenges, posing serious risks to human health. Consequently, new, efficient, fast, and simple photocatalytic systems are urgently required. To this end, 2,7-di(pyridin-4-yl)benzo[lmn][3,8]phenanthroline-1,3,6,8(2H,7H)-tetraone (NDI)-an electron acceptor-is introduced as a connecting column into a porphyrin-based metal-organic layer (2DTcpp) with excellent photocatalytic activity; this modification yields a three-dimensional pillar-layered metal-organic framework (MOF, 3DNDITcpp) with superior photocatalytic reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation capability.
