[Purpose] Although hallux function is fundamental in maintaining forward leaning standing posture, the insight into whether noncontact of the hallux with the ground alters the forward limit of stability (LoS) remains unclear. Thus, we aimed to determine the effects of the unilateral hallux noncontact on the forward LoS while standing. [Participants and Methods] This study included 17 healthy young and 17 community-dwelling older adults.

Current normative modeling approaches rely on generic comparisons and quantify deviations in relation to the population average. However, generic models interpolate subtle nuances and risk the loss of critical information, thereby compromising effective personalization of health care strategies.

Multiple sclerosis (MS) falls within the spectrum of central nervous system (CNS) demyelinating diseases that may lead to permanent neurological disability. Fundamental to the diagnosis and clinical surveillance is magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) that allows for the identification of T2-hyperintensities associated with autoimmune injury that demonstrate distinct spatial distribution patterns. Here, we describe the clinical experience of a 31-year-old, right-handed, White man seen in consultation at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, following complaints of headaches that began after head trauma related to military service.

Objective: This scoping review aims to identify and map the use of the Fundamentals of Care Framework in nursing education to provide insights into curriculum development that can benefit educators, health care professionals, and policy makers in educational contexts.
Introduction: The Fundamentals of Care Framework offers a comprehensive approach for conceptualizing and delivering high-quality, person-centered fundamental care. Use of the framework in education is shown to enhance critical thinking, establish a shared language for nursing care, and increase understanding of person-centered care.

Direct electrochemical detection of miRNA biomarkers in tumor tissue interstitial fluid (TIF) holds great promise for adjuvant therapy for tumors in the perioperative period, yet is limited by background interference and weak signal. Herein, a wash-free and separation-free miRNA biosensor based on photoexcited electro-driven reactive oxygen channeling analysis (LEOCA) is developed to solve the high-fidelity detection in physiological samples. In the presence of miRNA, nanoacceptors (ultrasmall-size polydopamine, uPDA) are responsively assembled on the surface of nanodonors (zirconium metal-organic framework, ZrMOF) to form core-satellite aggregates.
