Albendazole (ABZ), classified as a class II basic drug under the Biopharmaceutics Classification System (BCS), is widely recognized for its therapeutic efficacy in treating and preventing trichuriasis. However, despite its clinical relevance, ABZ's oral administration presents challenges due to its poor solubility and pH sensitivity, which diminish its therapeutic effectiveness. Additionally, high dosing regimens of ABZ pose risks of developmental toxicity in animal models.

Wound healing is a dynamic, multi-phase process that includes haemostasis, tissue regeneration, cellular proliferation, and matrix modification. Traditional wound care procedures frequently encounter complications such as delayed healing and infection, demanding new therapeutic approaches. In this context, nanomaterial-based devices provide considerable benefits due to their capacity to improve medication delivery and tissue healing.

Self-assembled lipid nanoparticles containing Gd-chelating lipids are a new type of positive magnetic resonance imaging contrast agents (MRI CAs). High molecular weight imposes reduced molecular reorientation () and corresponding longer reorientation correlation times (), finally resulting in overall high relaxivity () of such contrast agents. Therefore, we report nanoassemblies based on two types of amphiphile molecules: glyceryl monooleate (GMO) as a matrix embedded with DTPA-bis(stearylamide) and its gadolinium salt (DTPA-BSA-Gd) as a Gd-chelating lipid, stabilized by surfactant Pluronic F127 molecules.

Oriented antibody immobilization has been widely employed in immunoassays and immunodiagnoses due to its efficacy in identifying target antigens. Herein, a heptapeptide ligand, HWRGWVC (HC7), was coupled to poly(glycidyl methacrylate) (PGMA) nanospheres (PGMA-HC7). The antibody immobilization behavior and antigen recognition performance were investigated and compared with those on PGMA nanospheres by nonspecific adsorption and covalent coupling via carbodiimide chemistry.

The antimicrobial peptide LL-37 is a promising alternative to conventional antibiotics to combat bacteria in suspension and biofilms. Its self-assembly with polar lipids is suggested to improve its potential for therapeutic applications with higher stability against degradation and bioavailability. This study investigates the self-assembly of LL-37 with glyceryl monooleate (GMO), establishing the link between colloidal structure and antimicrobial activity.
