This study aimed to investigate the potential hypoglycemic mechanism of red ginseng acidic polysaccharides (RGAP) from the perspective of fatty acid (FA) regulation. A high-glucose/high-fat diet in conjunction with streptozotocin administration was employed to establish type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) rat models, and their fecal FAs were detected using the liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) method. RGAP treatment alleviated the polyphagia, polydipsia, weight loss, and hyperglycemia observed in T2DM rats.

Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is rarely associated with central diabetes insipidus (CDI) with unclear underlying pathophysiological mechanisms. The most commonly reported cytogenetic abnormality in cases of AML-associated CDI is monosomy 7, followed by chromosome 3 abnormalities. We report a case of a woman with newly diagnosed AML with 9q34 deletion ( gene region), who developed symptoms of polyuria and polydipsia with an investigation confirming CDI.

Purpose: Rathke's cleft cysts (RCC) are present in up to 20% of autopsy studies but only a minority necessitate surgical treatment. Inflammation of RCC is thought to be significant in three processes: the development of classical symptoms, a predisposition to rupture or apoplexy, and increasing the rate of RCC recurrence. We aim to characterize clinical presentation, histological and radiological findings in patients with surgically managed RCC.
