Background: The pathophysiology of polyuria and polydipsia secondary to exogenous glucocorticoid excess is incompletely understood.
Objective: Investigate plasma AVP (pAVP) and serum CoP (sCoP) concentrations in healthy dogs before, during, and after abrupt discontinuation of a long-term course of orally administered prednisolone.
Animals: Eight healthy neutered young adult research Beagles.

Ischemic stroke results from a disruption of cerebral blood flow. Adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) serves as the basis for the creation of synthetic peptides as neuroprotective agents for stroke therapy. Previously, using RNA-Seq we first revealed differential expressed genes (DEGs) associated with ACTH(4-7)PGP (Semax) and ACTH(6-9)PGP peptides under cerebral ischemia conditions.

Class A G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) are key mediators in numerous signaling pathways and important drug targets for several diseases. A major shortcoming in GPCR ligand screening is the detection limit for weak binding molecules, which is especially critical for poorly druggable GPCRs. Here, we present a proximity-based screening system for class A GPCRs, which adopts the natural two-step activation mechanism of class B GPCRs.
