Objective: This study reports the authors' experience with surgical interventions for nonsyndromic craniosynostosis. They assessed open surgery and minimally invasive endoscopic suturectomy in terms of periprocedural outcomes and related risk factors for postoperative complications and reoperation. This study aimed to provide insights toward surgical approach decisions and lay the groundwork for future prospective studies in this field.

It is imperative in a forensic investigation to determine the identity of an unidentified corpse, for which a crucial starting point is to establish population affinity as part of the biological profile supplied by the forensic anthropologist. The present study investigates the feasibility of using multidetector computed tomography (MDCT) images to quantify craniometric variation between Japanese and Malay populations relative to the estimation of population affinity in a forensic context. The Japanese and Malay samples comprise MDCT scans of 252 (122 female; 130 male) and 182 (84 female; 98 male) adult individuals, respectively.

Objective: This study investigates the correlation among craniometric measurements, skull morphology, and subthalamic nucleus (STN) target coordinates in DBS surgery.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective study of 77 Parkinson disease patients who underwent bilateral STN-DBS surgery at Nguyen Tri Phuong Hospital and University Medical Center in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Craniometric measurements and STN target coordinates were analyzed using Pearson correlation and multivariate linear regression.

Rationale And Objectives: The emergence of low-dose protocols for CT imaging has mitigated pediatric radiation exposure, yet ionizing radiation remains a concern for children with complex craniofacial conditions requiring repeated radiologic monitoring. In this work, the clinical feasibility of an ultrashort echo time (UTE) MRI sequence was investigated in pediatric patients.
Materials And Methods: Twelve pediatric patients (6 female, age range 8 to 18 years) with various imaging conditions were scanned at 3T using a dual-radiofrequency, dual-echo UTE MRI sequence.

Introduction: Exposure to harmful aerosols is of increasing public health concern due to the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic and wildland fires. These events have prompted risk reduction behaviors, notably the use of disposable respiratory protection. This project investigated whether craniofacial morphology impacts the efficiency of disposable masks (N95, KN95, surgical masks, KF94) most often worn by the public to protect against toxic and infectious aerosols.
