Paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH) clones can be identified in a significant proportion of patients with aplastic anemia (AA). Screening for PNH clones at the time of an AA diagnosis is recommended by national and international guidelines. In this report, an expert panel of physicians discusses current best practices and provides recommendations for managing PNH in patients with AA in the Asia-Pacific region.

Background: Health systems are striving to improve delivery of mechanical thrombectomy (MT) for ischaemic stroke. With the move to 24/7 provision, we aimed to assess (1) the change in referral and procedural frequency and timing, (2) reasons referrals did not proceed to MT, and (3) nocturnal procedural efficacy and safety.
Methods: This was an observational study comparing 12-month data for an extended daytime service (2021/2022, hours, 0800-2000) to that for a 12-month period delivering 24/7 cover (2023-2024).

While several countries impose minimum light requirements for pig housing, it remains unknown whether these requirements are beneficial for pig welfare. Therefore, we aim to review the current knowledge on the effects of light on pig welfare. In this paper, we explain concepts defining light, discuss the relevance of vision for pigs and systematically review the effects of light on pig welfare.

- Restless legs syndrome (RLS) and periodic leg movements during sleep (PLMS) are common sleep disorders that affect people differently based on sex and age, with this study investigating those differences from ages 2 to over 80.
- The study analyzed data from drug-free patients with RLS, finding that females experienced a quicker rise in PLMS before age 10, while males showed a more continuous increase even after age 75.
- Results indicate a complex relationship between sex hormones and sleep disorders, suggesting the need for individualized treatment strategies to improve sleep health across different age groups.

Swarming, as a special form of mating aggregation, is most noteworthy in insects of the orders Ephemeroptera, Diptera, and Trichoptera. Swarming in extant trichopterans is well understood in terms of sex composition, specific mating behaviors, and functional morphological specializations of adults, but an exploration of the evolution of such aggregative behaviors is hampered by the dearth of available examples from the fossil record as well as the ability to reliably distinguish the few gatherings as the result of swarming relative to other taphonomic or behavioral factors. Herein we describe five new fossil species of caddisflies preserved in mid-Cretaceous amber from Myanmar, all preserved as large aggregations.
