Background: Although multimodality treatment, including chemoradiotherapy and surgery has significantly improved the prognosis of patients with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC), a valid predictor is crucial for individualized treatment. As acyl-CoA synthetase long-chain family member 4 (ACSL4) and glutathione peroxidase 4 (GPX4) are key genes with radiation responses and constituents of the ferroptosis signaling pathway, the present study adopted ACSL4 and GPX4 protein expression to explore their predictive and prognostic value in patients with ESCC receiving adjuvant radiotherapy.
Methods: A total of 108 patients with thoracic ESCC who had undergone radical surgery and adjuvant radiotherapy were enrolled in the present retrospectively study.

Background: Exposure of internal mammary vessels in autologous breast reconstruction often requires removal of a rib cartilage segment, which can lead to breast contour deformity. This study evaluated the use of diced cartilage (DC) to counteract substance loss in the microvascular anastomosis area.
Methods: This retrospective, single-center cohort study included all breast reconstructions in which DC was used from October 2021 to June 2023.

Background: At present, consensus on the management of female stress urinary incontinence (SUI) after pelvic radiotherapy is lacking. We aim to assess the clinical effects of mid-urethral sling (MUS) for the treatment of SUI after pelvic radiotherapy in women.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective review of the clinical database of female with SUI after pelvic radiotherapy from June 2015 to February 2022.

Objective: To analyze the role of lymph node level ratio (LNLR) in predicting prognosis and the benefits of postoperative radiotherapy (PORT) in patients with pathological N1 (pN1) head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC).
Methods: Patients with pN1 HNSCC from January 2011 to February 2021 were included. Patients were grouped by the LNLR, lymph node yield (LNY), and lymph node ratio (LNR) and were analyzed with the Kaplan-Meier method and multivariate Cox model.

Sweat gland cancers, particularly eccrine sweat gland carcinomas, are rare and challenging to treat due to their aggressive nature and inconspicuous clinical presentation. Aggressive digital papillary adenocarcinoma, a rare subtype, frequently presents with delays in diagnosis, increasing the risk of metastasis and recurrence. Surgical excision remains the standard treatment, but the role of postoperative radiation therapy is not well-established due to the paucity of data.
