Contrast-enhanced mammography (CEM) has recently gained recognition as an effective alternative to breast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for assessing breast lesions, offering both morphological and functional imaging capabilities. However, the phenomenon of background parenchymal enhancement (BPE) remains a critical consideration, as it can affect the interpretation of images by obscuring or mimicking lesions. While the impact of BPE has been well-documented in MRI, limited data are available regarding the factors influencing BPE in CEM and its relationship with breast cancer (BC) characteristics.

Background: Cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) is the gold-standard to estimate right ventricular (RV) volumes, which are key for clinical management of patients with repaired tetralogy of Fallot (rTOF). Semi-automated threshold-based methods (SAT) have been proposed for CMR post-processing as alternatives to fully manual standard tracing. We investigated the impact of SAT on RV analysis using different thresholds in rTOF patients.

Applications of large language models (LLMs) in the healthcare field have shown promising results in processing and summarizing multidisciplinary information. This study evaluated the ability of three publicly available LLMs (GPT-3.5, GPT-4, and Google Gemini-then called Bard) to answer 60 multiple-choice questions (29 sourced from public databases, 31 newly formulated by experienced breast radiologists) about different aspects of breast cancer care: treatment and prognosis, diagnostic and interventional techniques, imaging interpretation, and pathology.
