Hypersensitivity pneumonitis (HP), including pigeon breeder's lung (PBL), often progresses from acute inflammation to fibrosis, impairing lung function and limiting targeted therapeutic strategies. Mechanistic studies on PBL progression are limited by the lack of preclinical animal models and a predominant focus on patient data. This study explores the immunopathological characteristics of all stages of PBL in mice and evaluates the therapeutic potential of human umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells (UC-MSCs) during the non-fibrotic stage.

The wings of birds contain complex morphing mechanisms that enable them to perform remarkable aerial maneuvers. Wing morphing is often described using five wingbeat motion parameters: flapping, bending, folding, sweeping, and twisting. However, the specific impact of these motions on the aerodynamic performance of wings throughout the wingbeat cycle, and their potential to inform engineering applications, remains insufficiently explored.

Prompt and accurate monitoring of cyanobacterial blooms is essential for public health management and understanding aquatic ecosystem dynamics. Remote sensing, in particular satellite observations, presents a good alternative for continuous monitoring. This study employs multispectral images from the Sentinel-2 constellation alongside ERA5-Land to enable broad-scale data acquisition.

This study investigates pigeon-like flexible flapping wings, which are known for their low energy consumption, high flexibility, and lightweight design. However, such flexible flapping wing systems are prone to deformation and vibration during flight, leading to performance degradation. It is thus necessary to design a control method to effectively manage the vibration of flexible wings.
