Background/aim: This study aimed to evaluate human sperm acrosomal reaction (AR) using flow cytometry and examine the correlation of AR and acrosomal enzyme activity (AEA) with seven semen parameters: total sperm count, concentration, vitality, motility, morphology, survival rate, and sperm DNA fragmentation index (DFI).
Patients And Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on semen data from 398 men in the AR group and 526 men in the AEA group. AR was assessed using flow cytometry, while AEA was measured with the solid-phase BAPNA method.

B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia is the most prevalent form of childhood cancer, with approximately 15% of patients undergoing relapse after initial treatment. Further advancements depend on novel therapies and more precise risk stratification criteria. In the context of computational flow cytometry and machine learning, this paper aims to explore the potential prognostic value of flow cytometry data at diagnosis, a relatively unexplored direction for relapse prediction in this disease.

Measurable residual disease (MRD) is critical in guiding therapeutic strategies for B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL). This study evaluated the performance of a novel next-generation sequencing-based Celemics IGH assay (CM-IGH; Celemics, Seoul, Korea) compared with the LymphoTrack IGH FR1 assay (LT-IGH; Invivoscribe Technologies, USA) and multiparameter flow cytometry (MFC). A total of 31 diagnostic and 60 follow-up bone marrow aspirate samples, all from the same 31 pediatric patients with B-ALL, were analyzed using the CM-IGH and LT-IGH assays on the MiSeq platform, as well as MFC according to EuroFlow guidelines.

Urinary tract infections caused by Gram-negative bacteria (GNB) are among the most common infections and a significant cause of sepsis. The increasing prevalence of multidrug-resistant (MDR) bacteria poses challenges to empirical treatment. Colistin may be used a last-resort antibiotic for treating MDR infections, but this requires the rapid determination of susceptibility to colistin.

The aim of this study was to investigate lymphocyte subsets, especially natural killer (NK) cells, in patients with systemic sclerosis (SSc) and evaluate the diagnostic value of NK cells in secondary pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). A total of 115 SSc patients and 100 age- and sex-matched health controls (HCs) were enrolled in this study. Flow cytometry was employed to quantify NK cells, while the association between NK cells and disease activity as well as PAH was investigated to further elucidate its diagnostic potential.
