Purpose: This study aimed to initially test whether machine learning approaches could categorically predict two simple biological features, mouse age and mouse species, using the retinal segmentation metrics.

Methods: The retinal layer thickness data obtained from C57BL/6 and DBA/2J mice were processed for machine learning after segmenting mouse retinal SD-OCT scans. Twenty-two models were trained to predict the mouse groups.

This case revolves around a mid-childhood boy diagnosed with a chemoresistant chondroblastic osteosarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of bone tumour affecting his left proximal humerus. Histopathological confirmation of chondroblastic osteosarcoma was obtained through core-needle biopsy. Despite initiating cytoreductive neoadjuvant chemotherapy using a vincristine and cyclophosphamide regimen, the tumour exhibited resistance, prompting the decision to proceed with a forequarter amputation.

Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Kansas State University, Manhattan, KS 66506, USA; Department of Biomedical Engineering, The George Washington University, Washington, DC 20052, USA. Electronic address:

Purpose: To determine the technical feasibility of discriminating discontiguous from contiguous ablation zones between a pair of microwave ablation (MWA) applicators using broadband microwave transmission signal measurements in an in vivo porcine liver model.

Methods: Dual applicator 2.45GHz MWA was performed using one directional and one omnidirectional applicator, spaced 3cm apart, under imaging guidance.

Introduction And Importance: Pancreatic schwannoma (PS) is an extremely rare benign tumor also known as neurilemoma or neuroma. The majority of PS develop cystic lesions, and its preoperative diagnosis is challenging due to its tendency to mimic other lesions of the pancreas.
